Here is a list of all the playable species.
(please try and remember that this is mainly a horse/human role play. The other species are to be used more as pets for the humans, and the occasional wild animal to cause trouble and make things interesting.)
HUMANS
your first character must be a human. That human, if he/she is thirteen or older, may have a horse either played by you or another role player.
Level Required: Newcommer. Posts Required: 1 # of Characters Allowed: meaning the number of characters total you are allowed to have with this level. (this does not include any characters auditioned for) 1
A typical human being walks upright on two legs. They have two arms as well, tipped with didjits that become quite useful for making and operating tools, and meeting other variouse needs. Humans are strange in the animal kingdom because they have to fur covering their bodies. They, instead, create clothing out of the fur of other animals, and of thread as well. These creatures are also highly intelligent (many of them, anyhow) and so it comes as no surprise that they are the most highly populated species in existance. They seem to run the show here. Other than the horses, of course, which humans seem to almost worship in a way.
HORSES
Though your first character must be human, that human is allowed to have a horse. So that is an exeption to the level rule. But in order to create another horse character, you must be up another level.
Level Required: Beginner Posts Required: 50 # Characters Allowed: 3
Each tribe has its own specific breed of horses, though all follow the general same build. All horses have four legs, and fur covered bodies. They have long heads, with pointed ears resting at the top. A shaggy mane of hair falls down their neck, and a long tail hangs on their rear ends. This tail is useful for swatting at insects. Horses are vegetarians, meaning that they don't eat animal products. Their diet consists typically of grass, and the occasional peice of fruit or vegetable. Horses have large, flat teeth used for crushing grass. Horses come in a wide range of colours. Blacks, bays, grays, palamino, paint, roan, appaloosa, dapple and chestnut are a few.
Hentoi
The Hentoi are Maota horses. They are typically coloured a dark, steely gray, though they can come in all sorts of colours. These horses are generally very brave, and very loyal. The maota people train them this way from the day they are born. The Maota form very strong bonds with their horses, and their horses are generally very loving and kind. These horses are built for stamina. They can maintain a decent speed for hours, and are very sturdy and willing. Though they aren't typically the fastest, strongest, or most graceful horses; they are very brave, and will do what it takes to get the job done.
Piiojk
The Piiojk are perhaps the best horses in all of Raikor. They are Rakio bred, and so it comes as no surprise that they are such well bred horses. The Rakio, being the longest existing tribe, have had many years of perfecting horses to get the breed up to standard. These horses are generally darker colours, like black and bay, but they can be seen in chestnut and the occasional roan or palamino. They are very tall, a few reaching heights of 17hh. These horses can maintain high speeds for miles, and are brilliant in war. They are very strong, and ruthless as battle horses. Since the Rakio are warriors, their horses must be as well.
Loura
The Loura are graceful horses bred by the Klora people. These horses are graceful, and fast. They can jump any height, and could outrun most any horse in Raikor. These horses are more timid in battle, but are quite friendly and loving. The Loura typically have lighter coats such as white and palamino. Occasionally they breed paints or light coloured chestnuts, and they are known to have a buckskin or two in the herd. Their name means 'moonbeam' and discribes them well, because they are as graceful and quiet as a moonbeam.
Doam
The Doam are bred by the Dioro people. Since the Dioro come from different tribes, their horses have lines from all the other horses bred in Raikor. Often their horses are reffered to as mutts, because of their mixed breeding. But, the Doam are very dependable easy to manage horses. They are generally smaller and bulkier horses than any other, and have no typical colour. they range from blacks to bays, paints to chestnuts.
Reok
A race of wild horses who are owned by no one. They are generally smaller in stature, with bulkier muscle. Their coats are usually thick and unkept. their manes knotted and thick as well. They are usually covered in cuts and old scars, and are not the prettiest of horses. But they have a sort of surreal and rugged look to them that makes a seen of wild horses running together in a herd breathtaking. These horses are left alone by the Tribes, and are free to their own lives. They come in all sorts of colours, there is no general shade, though it seems that the most common is a deep chestnut brown.
BIRDS
Birds are often good characters to have. If your character is in ownership of a bird, then he/she has a way of communication between other people. Birds are wonderful companions for humans.
Level Required: Apprentice Posts Required: 100 # Characters Allowed: 6
Raven
Ravens are large black birds. They are wonderful mesengers, and very clever. These birds are fairly easy to train, if they are handled by humans from the moment they hatch. Wild Ravens can be dangerouse, and very unfriendly, and are not wise to try and train then.
Hawk
Hawks are birds of prey. They are wonderful hunters, and very fast at flying. These birds are loyal, and smart. They are generally a soft brown colour, and so blend well with their surroundings. Hawks are easy to train if taken from the nest, but be careful because mother hawks are very protective, and will attack to save her babies.
Eagle
eagles are larger birds of pray, and are harder to catch and train. These birds don't like being in captivity, and are very strong and dangerous. They are ruthless hunters, and are not very loyal, though very intelligent. If taken from the nest and raised from the egg, they can make ideal companions.
Crow
Crows are smaller black birds, simular to ravens by looks. They are fond of shiney objects, and are naturally curiouse. These birds are easy to tame, even if not raised from a hatchling, and make good messengers. Crows are wonderful companions, and good messengers.
(note, there are other birds. Those are just the main types. If you would like to role play another type of bird, run it past me first, and maybe I'll add it to the list. Most likely I'll allow you to role play it, so long as its realistic and not an exotic parrot or something.)
CATS
there are wild cats as well as domestic cats. I will not allow humans to have wild cats like cougars for pets, but humans are welcomed to have a cat as a pet. You are welcomed to role play a wild cat if you wish, or a stray domestic cat if you so desire.
Level Required: Graduate Posts Required: 150 Characters Allowed: 9
Domestic Cat
The Domestic Cat is a great companion, and also good for keeping mice away from food storages. These cats are small in size, and come in many differen't colours. They are easy to tame, and so long as you are providing food and shelter, they will gladly hang around.
Cougar
The cougar is a viciouse wild cat. These cats are large with huge teeth and claws. They are dangerouse to both humans and horses, and should be avoided at all costs. Cougars are a tan colour, and blend well with their surroundigns. They are very smart, and very good hunters. (can not be made pets)
DOGS
There are wild and domestic dogs. I am not sure wether I will allow wild dogs (such as wolves and coyotes) to be made pets, but domestic dogs may deffinatly be made pets.
Level Required: Master Posts Required: 200 # Characters Allowed: unlimmited (make sure you don't have more than you can handle)
Wrrit
Writt are on the smaller side, and typically have darker coats. They come to about the knees of an average sized human. These dogs are good for hunting small game, and are wonderful companions. They can run very fast, and are very friendly and energetic. They are not the smartest dogs, and at often times can be airheads. They are easy to care for, and are VERY loyal.
Mloar
Mloars are huge dogs that are usually used as gaurd dogs. They are not meant for hunting, though are very good fighters. They are very loyal, and very intelligent. They are perhaps not very friendly or sociable, and are more seriouse get down to buisness types. They become very attatched to their owners, so much that they would gladly die to protect them. These dogs are often brown in colour, with some black markings.
Kiijet
These dogs are hunters. They are fast, smart, and could follow the trail of anything. They are often very energetic, but are not as loyal as many other dogs. They tend to wander a lot, so often require leashes, depending on the dog. Once they catch the scent of something, it takes a lot to get them away from the trail. They are very focussed animals.
OTHER ANIMALS
Other animals are avaible for role play. Many are wild, and many are available for pets.
