These are to be read, understood, and followed. Any questions should be directed to a staff member. Thank you!!

[GENERAL]

>>Swearing is permitted. BUT. You must use swearwords from the ancient language of Raikor. To find this list, please click here (coming soon). In ooc, swearing in our language is permitted. Please don't go overboard. If you do, a warning will be given.

>>No power playing or god modding. If you are thinking of joining this game, you should know this, because this is an intermediate-advanced role play. WE ARE ALL ABOVE THIS.

>>Respect is a key word. Respect the staff, your fellow members, and yourself. Don't do something that you'll further regret.

>>We will try and keep this site rated pg-13. This means that there shouldn't be much more than kissing. Romances are encouraged, and are wonderful to role play, but if they start getting to graphic, then I will not be encouraging it any longer. If you want your characters to have sex, then please use the fade to black method.

>>Please don't start fights with anybody. If you really, truly honestly need to start a fight, please keep it quiet and do it over Pm's. If this fight becomes a problem, then contact a staff member who will settle the fight. I don't want to loose a member just because another member is harassing him/her!

>>Remember, all staff members have the power to ban you. So please, for the good of everyone, don't anger a staff member. Follow the rules, and be good little ducklings.

[CHARACTERS]

>>One account per character, please.

>>To begin, you must join as a human. That human is permitted to have a horse, either role played by you or by another rper. Once I see you are active with your human character, I will grant you the allowance of more characters, this time introducing the ability to role play as other species.

>>To create a character, please fill out the bio form that is located in the board titled 'The Biographies'. Make sure that the bio is well written, and shows that you are capable of intermediate-advanced role playing. If your bio is short and poorly written, then you will not be accepted.

>>Make sure that your characters are flawed. Only flawed characters are interesting. Characters CAN NOT be perfect. NO ONE is perfect, and EVERYONE has LOTS of flaws. If I see a 'perfect' character, I will not accept it.

>>Make sure you wait to be accepted by a staff member before you start role playing. This is very important.

>>Auditioning is a great thing to do. BECAUSE. when you audition, that audition doesn't count on your character limit! Also, this really helps me out, because I need all the important parts filled. so, please audition!

[GAME PLAY]

>>When you create a thread, these following tags must be used.

[o] = open, anyone can join.
[s] = solo, there are no other role players involved.
[p] = private, you must either be invited to join or you must ask permission first.
[f] = finished, and staff can now move it to the archive board.

>>On all boards, you might notice tags such as (open land) and (rakio land) etc. These tags refer to whether or not the land is occupied. Open land means that no tribe is currently living there. Certain tribes will always occupy certain land, but there are also nomadic tribes. Nomadic tribes never remain in one single spot, and so this is where tags will help you to keep track of where tribes are staying.

>>Make sure you are posting AT LEAST two paragraphs per post. That means about 12 sentences per post, and hopefully MUCH more. Members who post long, descriptive posts, are very active and friendly are loved by staff members.

>>Grammar, spelling, punctuation! all those are VERY important. Most members will be at least thirteen years old. That means that players range from grade eight up into high school and beyond. We should all know how to use proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

>>Your character can only be role played in ONE POST at a time. In real life, you can not be two places at once - can you? It gets too confusing that way.

>>One thing that really bugs me is when people carry on five different conversations at the same time between characters. eg.

bob walked up to Joe and said, "hi". bob was a very friendly person, so he often said hi. "my name's bob" he added cheerfully. He waited a moment, then asked; "so, what are you doing?" he looked around. "its a nice day isn't it"

the next role player replies;

Joe watched as bob came up to him and said hi. "hi" he replied. "nice to meet you" he added. Bob then said that his name was bob, and Joe replied, "hi bob, my name's Joe." bob then said "so, what are you doing?" and Joe replied, "oh, not much. how bout you?"
"its a nice day, isn't it?" bob asked. Joe nodded, "yes, it is. do you think the sky looks blue, or purple?"

then the first role player replies;

"hi Joe" bob said to Joe as Joe stated his name. "oh, I'm not doing much at all. what were you doing before I came?" bob listened as Joe commented on the sky. "yes, it is. do you think the sky looks blue, or purple?" bob pondered this for a while before answering; "I think it looks blue. how bout you?"

then the second role player replies;

"well, before you came I was swinging on that swing over there. do you like swinging?" Joe replied to bob when bob asked what he had been doing prior to bob's arrival.
"well, I think the sky looks purple!"

notice how they are carrying on two separate conversations at the same time. notice also how its hard to follow, and makes no sense at all. please just carry on ONE conversation at once. That means Joe and bob should have finished their conversation about what they were doing before they started talking about the sky. If I see people role playing like Joe and Bob just were, I will butt in and tell them to stop.

[OVERALL]

Just use your common sense, and enjoy the game!

Note: rules are not 'set in stone' and can be changed/updated when I see it necessary.
